Pye then moved to the UK in 2010 where claimed the British Formula Ford Championship with an impressive 14 race wins and 19 pole positions for Jamum Racing. He was quickly promoted to the Formula 3 Championship the following year.

He claimed a race win and finished in 10th in the championship in his first year in Formula 3 - a category which produced drivers such as Ayrton Senna, Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard.

After a long stint in the UK, Pye returned home in 2012 to race for Triple 8 in the Development Series. His performance in his first year was stunning, picking up two race wins and multiple podiums. He finished second overall in the Championship.

That same year, Pye made his debut in the main game alongside Taz Douglas in the Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport (LDM) #30 Commodore.
